I can remember my disbelief when first seeing those WoW pro’s leveling so fast. I kept on thinking that they must be using some illegal cheat code or something – tempting the inevitable fate of getting banned by Blizzard. As I started getting better as WoW myself and stated leveling faster and learning some of the tricks and techniques I started seeing how these awesome players are able to level that fast.

WoW leveling guides are all over the internet. To be honest with you, the majority of them suck. Outdated and impractical and some even defy Blizzards rules quite blatantly. In case you don’t know, Blizzard can and will close your account permanently if you violate their strict rules.

So, what is the real “secret” to fast WoW leveling? Well, there are many secrets and what I soon learned is that the without a good leveling guide you will spend your days wondering around – bored and confused.

WoW is an awesome game, but 90% of all WoW players will never get to experience the best things in WoW. While the first leveling guides were stupid (and bulky) ebooks, the new generation of leveling guides are just plain awesome. They are in-game guides and they guide you every step of the way. Joana’s Horde Leveling Guide was one of the first to really take leveling to the next level.

Most WoW players get stuck at level 60 and to be honest with you, the game gets pretty difficult past level 60. Without a leveling guide you WILL have a hard time leveling to 80. Zygor’s next generation of leveling guides for Horde and Alliance is probably the most advanced. It focuses primarily on power leveling and is almost exclusively focused on doing quests. Zygor’s leveling routes is proven to be the fastest and his strategies for getting to level 80 is unrivaled.

When it comes gold and gold guides it a whole other story. Power leveling guides don’t really focus on strategies for getting gold. They mostly focus on questing simply because it is the fastest way to level 80. Having a lot of gold and knowing how to get a lot of it is a HUGE part of playing Warcraft.

Once again, there is a lot of WoW Gold guides out there and I am constantly amazed by where and how these guides sniff out new and better ways to make gold. The WoW gold guides are usually PDF guides and some are video guides (which are hard to follow along) that gives you step-by-step instructions. Valkor’s Gold Guide is excellent and Luke Brown’s Gold Secrets is probably my second choice.

If getting a ton of gold really fast is your mission, then any of those two guides will take all the headache out of it. As I mentioned earlier, there are WoW guides all over the web and two great new additions is a PvP Guide and an Auction House Guide.

PvP is one of the most exciting aspects of the game and learning to dominate PvP combat is a skill in itself. T.s Sanders’ PvP Bible is the most complete guide on PvP and the strategies will give you an unfair advantage.

The Auction House is a bit of a nightmare for new players and if you don’t know what you are doing you can easily be taken advantage of. In Mayley’s Warcraft Auction House Mastery you will learn everything you need to know about the auction house and some of the tips and tricks can really give you an edge.
Regardless of which aspect of WoW you are weak in, you can get help. Great WoW players use guides and they learn are good at learning new strategies and combining them in creative ways. While some players are against guides, those who are tend to get so much more out of the game. Remember that World of Warcraft is VAST. If you are going it alone you are probably missing out on all the best parts of the game. Don’t get left behind!
