I would suggest that he either splits the guide up into smaller guides or that he sets up a hyperlinked chapter index. Improving the index will help you find what you are looking for a lit quicker and the frustration out of scrolling up and down the heavy pdf.

Also, when you first start using the guide you will find the maps quite hard to follow. It definitely takes a bit of getting used to.
